Day Nineteen: Desperately seeking the crunch factor

If you are in search of some crunch here are some bright ideas you might like. (Sadly, Americans don’t eat bones anymore.)

  • Carrot sticks dipped in homemade guacamole
  • Kale chips (see previous post for recipe) can add pepper flakes or other spices for additional flavor
  • Home roasted almonds (or your other favorite nut) with your choice of spices (curry, thyme, rosemary)
  • Homemade sweet potato chips sliced thin and baked at 350 until desired crispness
  • Bacon- can also be used to dip into salsa or guacamole
